Since 1976, CLEAT has offered training to assist officers in critical incidents, workplace ethics, and officer rights. In fact, we pushed hard in the legislature for increases in training, better professionalism, higher standards, and education for officers.
CLEAT was the first statewide law enforcement organization in Texas to offer training to its members and continues to offer our member-exclusive training programs/classes. Unlike other organizations, we have never sought profit from an officer’s training.
TCOLE-Approved Training
CLEAT offers numerous free training opportunities to our members throughout the state. This includes training from nationally recognized trainers, TCOLE-required classes taught by TCOLE instructors, and training at conferences and our annual convention.

Online Training
The Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT) is proud to announce that we have formed a new partnership for online training with Classen-Buck/Nuvola Academy, a Texas-based training provider headquartered in Austin.
Our partnership grants CLEAT members access to Classen-Buck/Nuvola Academy’s entire online training catalog, with over 300 hours of training eligible for TCOLE credit, FREE when you sign up through your myCLEAT Member Portal. The catalog includes classes that were previously unavailable to our members under the old online training platform, such as:

- New Supervisor’s Course
- Intermediate Use of Force
- Intermediate Arrest, Search, and Seizure

Sign up for access with just a few steps:
- Log into your myCLEAT account at mbr.cleat.org
- Click the “Online Training” tab
- Click the pencil underneath “Join Online Training”
- Select the checkbox
- Save
Once you have requested access through your myCLEAT account, Nuvola Academy will create an account and send you access information. You can then access online training any time at cleat.nuvolaacademy.com.
Online training is available 24/7! Get access to over 300 hours of TCOLE-approved training courses, all on your own schedule.
