For Immediate Release
May 24, 2024
AUSTIN — The Peace Officers’ Memorial Foundation (POMF), a charitable arm of the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT), has announced its 2024 POMF Scholarship recipients.
Each year, the foundation presents scholarships to the dependents of Texas Law Enforcement officers who are either graduating high school or enrolled in an accredited college/university. During the application period of January 1 through April 1 this year, the POMF Scholarship Committee received and reviewed over 120 applications from qualified students.
“These children represent the values our men and women in blue have passed on to the next generation. They and their families know what it means to work hard and sacrifice in the name of public service,” said Lt. Marvin Ryals, CLEAT President. “We are proud to honor these students and their accomplishments as they move toward higher education and a commitment to give back to their communities.”
